From September 25 to 27, Turin will host the fourth edition of the Italian Tech Week, a must-attend event for all innovation enthusiasts and digital world professionals.
The event will take place at OGR Torino, where more than 140 speakers — including companies, startup founders, entrepreneurs, and investors — will take turns presenting their projects and the latest advances in the tech sector.
With conferences, masterclasses, and community events, these three days aim to offer new networking, growth, and development opportunities for Italy and its talents.
What is Italian Tech Week 2024?
Italian Tech Week is the most important tech event in Italy, a free event that serves as a bridge between innovation and technology enthusiasts, investors, and industry professionals.
To foster discussion, continuous learning, and networking among participants, the organizers have planned a program of workshops, seminars, and a tech expo that will allow the audience to experience events developed in collaboration with top partners.
This year, the historic complex of OGR Torino (Officine Grandi Riparazioni di Torino) will host the fourth edition of the fair, where companies, startup founders, media, and public and private research institutes will have the opportunity to present new technologies and discuss the expected developments in key sectors.
The event is supported by public bodies such as the City of Turin, Politecnico di Torino, University of Turin, and IAAD, with the backing of OGR Torino, Fondazione CRT, the Turin Chamber of Commerce, Punto Impresa Digitale, ITA – Italian Trade Agency, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Previous editions have seen significant attendance with a growing trend both in the number of participating companies and visitors. Numbers that are expected to be replicated in this edition as well.
Main Topics and Guests
Italian Tech Week consists of three days during which topics concerning innovation, the future, and new trends in the technological field will be discussed.
In particular, on Wednesday, September 25, the speakers will focus on the applications of AI in the industrial sector, starting with the presentation of AI4I – Artificial Intelligence for Industry, the new Italian institute for the development of Artificial Intelligence in industry. This will be followed by focus sessions on mobility and sustainable food, concluding with a talk on the use of digital technologies in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
Thursday, September 26, will be entirely dedicated to the presentation and analysis of Italian startups and generative AI. A highly anticipated guest will be Sam Altman, co-founder and CEO of OpenAI, the lab behind ChatGPT.
The concluding sessions on Friday, September 27, will be dedicated to the European scenario, particularly case studies of success, winning strategies, and different markets.
During the summit, “Side Events” will be available in Turin, which are parallel meetings independently organized by the main Italian tech communities, and which you can register for online. An example is the “Community Lunch”, a networking event organized by Talent Garden in collaboration with Fondazione Agnelli.
Conclusion
These three days represent an immersive and comprehensive experience to celebrate and assess the state of national, European, and global technological advancement.
Furthermore, this opportunity will allow participating entities to meet and connect with leaders and experts from other sectors in an environment focused on mutual growth and exchange.
Italian Tech Week is, therefore, a unique opportunity to explore the new frontiers of technology, promote Italian innovation, and provide growth platforms for emerging startups.
