The Lombardy Region Funding Call: What Are the Available Incentives and Who Can Benefit
The incentive provided by the call consists of a non-repayable contribution granted for up to 50% of the eligible expenses, on the condition of a minimum investment of 30,000 euros and with a maximum benefit not exceeding 100,000 euros.
The call is addressed to MPMIs that are duly incorporated, registered, and active in the Companies Register, with an operating headquarters in Lombardy and at least two filed and approved financial statements.
Companies that, at the time of the application, operate in the manufacturing, processing, or marketing of tobacco products or have one of the following ATECO 2007 codes are excluded:
- A (agriculture, forestry, and fishing);
- 61 Telecommunications;
- 62 Software production, technology transfer, IT activities and related services;
- 63 Information services and other IT services;
- Section K (financial and insurance activities).
Digital Transition of Lombardy Companies: What Expenses Can Be Financed
The call aims to foster the digitalization of Lombardy MPMIs, and it is intended to help companies by providing funds to develop a Strategic Digitalization Plan and to design projects to improve their digital positioning in line with their development needs.
The first steps to follow to submit an application are:
- Measurement of Digital Maturity to assess the level of digitalization and identify areas for improvement;
- Strategic Digitalization Plan coherent with the results of the digital assessment and aligned with corporate objectives on how to bridge digital gaps, enhance performance, and optimize organizational processes;
- Implementation Intervention: the company must prepare an Implementation Intervention that complies with the guidelines of the Strategic Plan, specifying the digital solutions and technologies to be implemented.
Following the development of a strategic digitalization plan, each company can identify the critical sectors in which to invest more to promote Digital Transformation. The eligible expenses include:
- Cybersecurity and data protection
- Data analysis and Artificial Intelligence
- Business process automation and digitalization of services
- Sustainability and innovation
- Purchase of IT services and technologies
- Services for the definition of the Strategic Plan
- Training and support
- Indirect expenses
