Social Thingum is a finalist in the first edition of the Assintel Digital Awards. The announcement of the six selected innovative technological projects, made on 14 September, saw the small Milanese company outpace several companies and startups active throughout Italy.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, 19 October 2022 at 2:30 PM: a live event in Milan and available remotely via streaming.
What are the Assintel Digital Awards?
The Assintel Digital Awards 2022 are the first edition of the competition promoted by the National Association of ICT Enterprises of Confcommercio to recognize and reward the most significant Italian projects in two sectors that are particularly crucial in today’s world: Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain.
The initiative is carried out with the support of Archivium, Amazon AWS, Cisco, CoreTech, Gi Group, Kamzan, OVHcloud, QiBit, Randstad, Trend Micro, and 2meet2biz.
In this first edition, 15 Artificial Intelligence projects and 8 Blockchain projects participated. The winning projects will be awarded numerous prizes in the form of products and services provided by the event partners.
The objective of the Assintel Digital Awards is to “enhance Made in Italy technological innovation, by promoting and supporting the companies that drive it,” as stated on the official page.
Social Thingum: the e-learning training project
Francesco Epifania, CEO and co-founder of Social Thingum, states: “We are very pleased to have been selected among the most innovative Artificial Intelligence projects in Italy. Our project concerns the Recommender System of the WhoTeach platform for creating and updating personalized online courses in EdTech: with this system we aim to make the creation and maintenance of training courses more efficient, without sacrificing high quality standards.”
He also expresses satisfaction that “the committee recognized the importance of the impact we want to achieve and shares the values of our project to improve online training. We would like to invest any potential prize in optimizing our intelligent algorithms and in developing business strategies that make this solution more easily accessible to the public.”
The Awards Ceremony and Assintel Report
The Assintel Digital Awards are an opportunity for networking and collaboration for the most relevant Italian projects on the national scene. Not surprisingly, the awards ceremony will take place as part of the Assintel Report event, Assintel’s annual appointment to monitor the state of the art in the world of innovation and to update not only technical experts and industry professionals, but also the general public.
