Innovation passes through the growth of the Internet of Things

Digital innovation is increasingly in demand, but we need the skills to achieve it.

According to data collected by the Digital Innovation Observatories of the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano, the Internet of Things (IoT) market in Italy was worth 3.7 billion euros in 2017, an increase of 32% over the previous year.

The near future will see a further acceleration of the market, especially in the areas of Smart Metering, Smart Car, Smart Home and Industrial IoT. To meet the growing demand for experts that this market requires, SIAM – Società d’incoraggiamento Arti e Mestieri – in collaboration with Social Thingum has organized the course IoRT: the evolution of automation for industry and services.

Due to its direct presence in the sector, Social Thingum will contribute to the contents presented during the course having long accumulated experience and expertise in the field of Artificial Intelligence and IoT.

The company has realized:

  • An intelligent module for optimal management of the performance of an electric motorcycle
  • An intelligent home warning system to prevent home risks
  • The Easy 4.0 project that helps users to use appliances correctly by reducing pollution, energy consumption and improving the quality of the result.

With this initiative, Social Thingum confirms its position at the forefront of promoting innovation, both by working directly on the market and by collaborating in partnership with other companies and training institutes to spread awareness of the IoT.
